A 62-year-old Ottawa man who police say is a “well-known” coach and personal trainer in the women’s basketball community is accused of sexually assaulting a second girl during a massage.
Dejan “Dean” Tanasijevic is charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and sexual interference, police said Wednesday.
Investigators with the sexual assault and child abuse section allege that while training the girl, who was under 18, he sexually assaulted her during a recovery massage.
In August, Tanasijevic was charged with sexual exploitation, sexual assault and forcible confinement. Police said the girl under 18 was sexually assaulted during a recovery massage.
In both cases, police said that “investigators are concerned there could be other victims.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the force’s major case management unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5760 or mcm@ottawapolice.ca. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by downloading the Ottawa police app.
