A man in his 20s was taken to hospital in stable condition Friday morning after a shooting in the Leslie Park neighbourhood in the city’s west end.
Police were called to Monterey Drive near Abingdon Drive at about 7 a.m, where the victim was found.
Paramedics reported they were called by the victim who was told to apply direct pressure to the wound.
He was stabilized by paramedics before transport to the Ottawa Hospital trauma centre.
There were no immediate arrests and a large police presence is on scene.
