Freezing rain warning in effect for:
The freezing rain will slowly transition to snow overnight as colder temperatures move into the region. Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are possible by the time the snow tapers off on Sunday.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
