One male victim was being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the 1400 block of Heatherington Road.
The Ottawa Police Service said the shooting occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the neighbourhood just south of Walkley Road.
Patrol officers and a canine unit responded and located the victim of the shooting.
No suspect had been located as of late evening, a police service media release said. It added that the investigation had been taken over by the Guns and Gangs unit.
Anyone with information on the incident was asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050. Anonymous tips would also be accepted by Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online on the Ottawa Police app.
