A woman in her 20s is in critical condition with a life-threatening head injury following a hit-and-run Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred at 2:23 p.m. at Preston and Pamilla streets, two blocks north of Carling Avenue. The woman was unconscious when paramedics arrived, and remained so en route to the Ottawa Hospital’s Trauma Centre at the Civic campus.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the driver of the vehicle — a grey Honda or Hyundai with damage to the windshield — which failed to remain at the scene following the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
