Hitting the slopes or trails on this PD day for many local kids?
Skies are clear Friday with a balmy high of 7 C but watch out for that wind – a blustery 30 km/h gusting to 50 from the southwest near noon.
Environment Canada predicts that Friday night will be cloudy with a few showers, the same gusty winds and a low of 5 C.
Saturday’s forecast is for those showers to end in the morning although a 40 per cent chance of more wet stuff will remain. Winds will drop off as the temperature falls first to 3 C in the afternoon and then -8 C overnight. There’s a 40 per cent chance of overnight flurries or showers.
Sunday is cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries and a high of -4 C. There’s a 60 per cent chance of snow Sunday night and a forecast low of -9 C.
