Ottawa police cordoned off a section of Lajoie Street in Vanier to investigate a reported fight that sent a man to hospital with serious stab wounds.
Police and paramedics were called to a “disturbance” at about 9:30 p.m. A man was soon taken to the Civic campus of The Ottawa Hospital in critical condition.
Police were unable to provide any details about what led to the altercation.
The section of Lajoie between Montreal Road and Lévis Avenue remained close late Monday as investigators worked the scene.
