Ottawa police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man believed to have been involved in a home robbery in the city’s west end last month.
According to police on Monday, the man entered a home on Saunders Avenue in Lincoln Heights on Nov. 15 through a door that was not locked. The homeowners were outside of the residence at the time.
The suspect allegedly fled the scene with a wallet. A short time later, a transaction occurred at a store in the ByWard Market area, using a card from the wallet.
The suspect is described as being a man with a darker complexion, between 25 and 40 years of age. He had a medium build and small moustache.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to call Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, extension 2655. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
