Shirley Seward
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board has elected its chair and vice-chair for the new year. Both are veteran trustees.
Shirley Seward has represented the board’s River Zone since 2010, and this will be her fourth term as chair.
Lynn Scott, the vice-chair, has been a trustee for the OCDSB and before that for the Carleton Board of Education since 1994, had has served previously

as chair of the board and, at various times, of all its major committees.
The OCDSB has 72,000 students in 147 schools.
