I got a problem with my stupid PC. As soon as I turn it on, it would not go into the XP system, but seems like to be stucked there, no key would work, and then it asks for the "HDD password", what the hell's that? Is there something wrong with the Hard Drive? and is there any possibility to get it repaired? It's Toshiba's thinnest and lightest style,by the way. anybody know that? Thank you

For some laptop, just like mine, you can set the "hdd password" to protect your data. So you can go to BIOS and clear the password.

How to go to BIOS? and why this happened? because something wrong the hard drive or something else? Never met this problem since I bought it....weird~~~~ thank you.

After rebooting, press "Del" or "F1" (depends on different machines, desktop should be "DEL", "F1" is usually used for laptop), it will lead you to BIOS setting.

It doesn't work...I tried the F1 as soon as it started, but it didn't work.......What's wrong

try F1/F2/ESC/DEL then you will get in a "nice neat" blue screen, and enjoy the modification.
