Algonquin College told students to leave buildings A, B and C Thursday morning as fire crews tackled a working fire at the Woodroffe Avenue campus.

The fire department said that students were evacuated as a precaution.

It was initially reported as a fire in a construction area outside a college building.

Firefighters had some difficulty accessing the site, but had the fire under control, but there was some concern about propane tanks.

More to come.
