The OPP is searching for a man who may have fallen through the ice as he fished on Bennett Lake, in Lanark County. Worried that he had not returned home on time on his ATV, the man’s family called the police. OPP members arrived at the location in Tay Valley Township around 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
The family noticed a large hole in the ice, and worried that the man may have fallen through. Members from the Lanark County detachment of the OPP are now searching for the man with the help of the OPP’s Underwater Search and Rescue unit. The man’s name has not been released, as the investigation is ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with further information about the incident to call 1-888-310-1122.
