Ottawa police have charged a 37-year-old man with accessing and possessing child pornography after a tip from the public.
Internet child exploitation investigators said Wednesday that they received information “from a concerned member of the public” last week, who tipped them that a man was viewing child porn.
After seizing the man’s computer, hard drive and an external hard drive, police found several hundred images of child pornography.
Police on Wednesday charged Sylvain Laframboise, from Alexandria, with accessing and possessing child pornography. Police said that additional charges could still be laid, pending their full investigation of the devices seized.
Laframboise is expected to appear in court Thursday.
