Finance Minister Bill Morneau is no stranger to controversy.

And now Morneau has firmly entrenched himself on one side of a very fiery debate.

It’s clear that he fully supports allowing animals to wear sweaters.

And not just any sweaters but Christmas sweaters specifically.

On Friday afternoon, Morneau tweeted out a photo of himself getting some last-minute work done before the holidays.

In the photo, Morneau’s cat, Domino, was also pictured.

Domino was wearing a sweater.

If you look closely, Domino’s sweater design actually has another animal on it — wearing even more clothing (a hat with antlers, at the very least).

Which side of the debate do you fall?

Should animals, which are already wearing natural sweaters, be dressed in an additional human-made sweaters?

If you firmly believe down to your core that animals should wear sweaters, or clothing of any kind, please prove it by sending us photos of your pet:

It also looks like there’s some cough and cold syrup on Mr. Morneau’s desk.

We hope Domino’s owner feels better.

Stay warm.
