A man in his 20s turned up at the hospital with gunshot wounds Thursday night after 911 calls reporting gunfire drew police to Willow Street.
Officers found spent shell casings at the scene near the intersection with Rochester Street in Little Italy after getting calls that shots had been fired at 10:40 p.m.
The victim, who is known to police, went to the hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.
It was the second shooting incident of the year, the first with injuries reported.
No arrests have been made.
Calm had returned to Rochester and Willow streets Friday morning.
