Ottawa firefighters battled flames and freezing temperatures at a rowhouse fire on Woodvale Green in Craig Henry on Friday night.
There were no injuries reported in the three-alarm fire that broke out at around 6:30 p.m. in the middle of a five-unit row of houses at 39 Woodvale Green. High winds hampered firefighters’ efforts to control the spread of the fire, forcing crews to retreat and work to contain the spread of the flames to adjacent units.
Victim Services and a fire inspector were called to the scene.
A 3rd Alarm has been transmitted for the fire on Woodvale Green. This Is a wind driven fire and crews were ordered out of the unit of origin due to structural issues. Efforts under way to prevent fire spread to the exposures on either side. pic.twitter.com/VaIFCi8S3x
