Several shots were fired into an empty house on Claremont Drive on Wednesday at about 9 p.m., Ottawa police said.
No one was yet in custody about an hour-and-a-half later, police said.
The incident came a day after Tarek Dakhil, 23, died after being shot multiple times in the courtyard of a co-operative housing complex at 3339 Paul Anka Dr. It was Ottawa’s first homicide of 2018.
