Ottawa police closed a section of Walkley Road at Baycrest Drive on Tuesday evening after two men were wounded by gunfire.
Police say witnesses called 911 at 4:16 p.m. after the shooting that occurred outside the Ledbury neighbourhood. Ottawa paramedics confirmed the men were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police were asking the public to avoid the area until the road reopened.
Police said there were no arrests and that the guns and gangs unit was investigating.
