There are almost 1,000 holds on Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House at the Ottawa Public Library, by far the most sought-after book in circulation for English adult materials.

On Thursday morning, there were 979 hold requests on one copy of Michael Wolff’s insider account of the Donald Trump presidency in the U.S.

There were 35 holds on one CD audiobook and 160 holds on 10 copies of a downloadable audiobook. There were 142 holds on nine ebook copies.

The library listed an express ebook available on Thursday morning. The express ebook, which only lasts for seven days, isn’t available for holds.

For readers who still enjoy cracking open a hardcopy book, the OPL says it has ordered an additional 150 copies of Fire and Fury to meet the demand.

Earlier this week, the OPL provided this newspaper with a snapshot of the English-language adult hardcopy books with the most holds.

As of Tuesday afternoon, this is what the list looked like with the number of holds:

  1. Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House by Michael Wolff: 960
  2. The Alice Network by Kate Quinn: 610
  3. Bellevue Square by Michael Redhill: 609
  4. The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson: 586
  5. The Rooster Bar by John Grisham: 507
  6. Red Alert by James Patterson: 482
  7. What Happened by Hillary Rodham Clinton: 430
  8. The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn: 426
  9. Glass Houses by Louise Penny: 419
  10. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng: 418
