Environment Canada has issued a weather warning, predicting that the flurries and rain showers expected to begin around 3 p.m. Sunday will turn to freezing drizzle early Monday morning, and full-on freezing rain by Monday night.
Approximately 2 cm. of snow is expected Sunday night, with an additional 2 cm. of snow and/or ice pellets called for on Monday. The temperature is expected to dip to just below zero late Sunday night, and continue to drop throughout Monday to a low of -6C. The freezing rain is expected to continue into Tuesday.
According to the weather statement, slippery roads can be expected Monday night and Tuesday. Local power outages may also occur.
