If you know this man, Gatineau police would like to hear from you because he’s wanted in a fraud investigation.
The suspect impersonated a second man, and contacted that man’s bank, asking to make changes to the customer’s personal information on file.
Once that information was changed, the suspect applied for a new credit card under a false name, and had it mailed to his own address.
Security cameras recorded the suspect at institutions in Casselman and Ottawa where he is believed to have used the new credit card, both times in November. There was also a transaction at a service station in Laval.
The man is described as white, with a heavy build, between 35 and 45 years old, with short dark hair and a partial beard.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det.-Sgt. Evelyne Villeneuve at 819-243-2345, ext. 6238, or 819-243-INFO, option 5.
