An Ottawa family has been displaced from their home after a Monday night fire that initially threatened to engulf their neighbours’ homes.
Two adults and two children fled the house when fire broke out at 8:22 p.m. in a townhouse on Rolumus Private, near Montreal Road. Neighbours called 911 and knocked on doors to evacuate the adjoining homes.
Ottawa Fire Services quickly brought the fire under control but not before about $60,000 in damage was done to the home’s contents and structure.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
