The winter weather whiplash is back.
After a snowy, balmy weekend – Sunday was hovering around 0 C as 13 cm of snow fell – Monday morning’s -16 C feels more like -27 with windchill.
Motorists should be extra cautious, too. Roads are slick in spots with the fire department reporting that they’re tackling a number of cars that have landed in the ditch, flipped or crash on slippery roads while police are warning drivers to clear cars thoroughly lest frozen snow become a “dangerous flying object.”

For Tuesday, expect clouds, a 60 per cent chance of flurries, a high of -6 C and a low of -17 C.
