Brace for it. Freezing rain is on the way, warns Environment Canada.
The warning, issued at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, says several hours of freezing rain are expected, possibly preceded by light snow. The freezing rain will likely continue into the evening, with a total accumulation of a few millimetres possible. Some flurries may follow.
The warning comes with the usual caution of slippery roads, sidewalks and parking lots and transportation delays.
Sunday’s high should hit -2 C, before falling to an overnight low of -11 C.
Monday should be sunny, with a high of -5 C, followed by a chilly overnight low of -18 C.
Tuesday’s forecast is much the same, but a mid-week thaw is expected with daytime highs of 5 C on Wednesday and 4 C on Thursday, with a chance of rain.
