It was a foggy morning in many areas of the capital Thursday, heading towards a wet afternoon and evening.

OPP in both ends of the city were cautioning drivers to watch out.

Drizzle, the freezing kind in some areas, accompanied by winds gusting to 40 km/h were expected to start around noon and last through most of the day. The high is expected to be around 6 C.

Clouds are expected to remain overnight, but no major precipitation is expected. The low should not creep below 0 C, according to forecasts.

Friday’s forecast is flurries ending late in the afternoon, leaving about two cm of new snow. The temperature is expected to fall to -3 C in the afternoon.

Overnight Friday is expected to be a chiller with a low of -18 C.

Some good news arrives on the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday’s high is expected to be around -5 C, while Sunday is expected to hit 2 C.

Family Day Monday is expected to be cloudy with 40 per cent chance of snow and a high of 4 C.

The risk of precipitation climbs to 60 per cent Monday night, with a low of about 0 C.
