Ottawa firefighters were called to 646 Somerset Street West at about 5:20 Saturday morning.
Soon after arriving firefighters discovered damage to an adjacent building and a second alarm was declared.
The fire forced the closure of Somerset St. between Bronson and Bay. It is unknown when the roads will reopen.
No injuries were reported.
The cost of damages is currently unknown.
