Environment Canada continues to show a rainfall warning for the region, warning that melting snow and heavy rain means that flooding could occur in low-lying areas.
We should have plenty of both Tuesday with a potentially record-setting temperature of 11 C by evening and 25-40 mm or rain by Wednesday morning.
The continued rainfall had a negative effect on morning the commute.
Among the problems: There were no injuries after a schoolbus carrying seven children went into the ditch near Munster, while emergency crews were called to a rollover on Highway 417 near Walkley Road just after 6 a.m.

Weather watchers warn of “several rounds” of rain due to a low-pressure system moving along a warm front that’s draped across the lower Great Lakes with a final band of showers expected along a cold front Wednesday.
First, it’s fog and black ice in outlying areas. Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium cancelled all buses, noting that water on top of frozen ground is creating “black ice everywhere” and warning that “if you do have to be out, drive with extreme caution.” Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario was reporting a total of 19 delays and cancellations.
In Ottawa, all school buses are running but Ottawa Student Transportation Authority reported that nine morning trips were delayed in areas including South Carleton and Goulbourn.
Ottawa’s forecast is for periods of rain and fog patches for Tuesday and a daytime “high” of 5 C, although the temperature will keep rising through the evening to an expected 11 C, then hold steady before plunging to 1 C by Wednesday afternoon.
