I want to connect two computers with ethernet card, no hubs, share BEll Sympatico High Speed.
Does it work if two computers are 50ft(15m)away(with RJ45 cross-wired cable)?

Anybody can help me?

Thanks

old topic.
two network cards on one, as gateway.
one network card on the other.
cross cable between them.

Some DSL has router functionality build in. I am not using
Sympatico, so I have no idea about it. Checking your
DSL moderm and Bell.

Thanks for your reply
But I was asking if the 50ft cable is too long or ok

Thanks

With ethernet, the maximum length of a cable from a hub to a computer is 100 meters (or about 300 feet) with a type of cable called category 5. It also can make do on a lesser quality standard (category 3 is common).
