A doctor who worked at the University of Ottawa Health Services clinic has been charged with ten new counts of sexual assault.

Dr. Vincent Nadon, of Chelsea, has been charged in relation to ten alleged incidents, all of which involve female victims.

Nadon is scheduled to appear in court today.

He was first arrested in January on charges of sexual assault and voyeurism after a patient in her early twenties reported him to police. She alleged that she had been secretly videotaped during a medical exam.

Nadon was released from jail under house arrest while police continued their investigation.

Under terms of his release, Nadon was banned from communicating with any of his past or present patients, and was to be escorted outside of his house by his brother or wife. Nadon’s house arrest conditions also prohibited him from using any recording devices.

The initial incident took place at a University of Ottawa Health Services clinic on Rideau Street, according to police.

Nadon has since been barred from practising at University of Ottawa Health Services clinics. The Ottawa police’s sex assault unit is still investigating and its detectives say there could be more victims.
