March comes in like a lamb but there's snow in the forecast

March is coming in with a lamb-like high of 5 C and a UV index – remember those? – of 3 or moderate.

Overnight, there’s a 60 per cent chance of flurries and a low of just -2 C.

Typical temperatures for early March are highs of -1 C and lows of -10 C.

For Friday, periods of snow are forecast to end in the afternoon and northerly winds blow at 20 km/h gusting to 40. The high should be -1 C and the expected overnight low -2 C with a 40 per cent chance of more flurries.

Clouds are forecast for Saturday with a 30 per cent chance of flurries day and night, a high of 2 C and a low of -3 C.

We might actually see some sun Sunday with forecast mixed skies, a high of 4 C and a low of -7 C.

The outlook for both Monday and Tuesday is sunny skies and highs of 5 C.

The clouds are expected to roll back in Wednesday bringing a 40 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers and a high of 3 C.
