Evangelizing the Parish? Reply by March 10
Are you interested in attending four Saturday morning (9am-noon) workshops about Parish Evangelization on
April 14, 2018 at St. Mary’s, 100 Young St., Ottawa
then
May 12 ,
May 26,
June 9, all at St. George’s, 415 Piccadilly St., Ottawa?
Please reply by March 10
Either Fr. Gerard and /or I will be attending these with a ‘parish team’ and I invite you to consider being part of it.
These will be led by Fr. Sean Wenger CC, pastor of St. Mary Parish
As these workshops are part of his work to complete a Doctorate in Ministry, there are a few requirements:
each participant needs to fill out a pre-workshop survey by March 14.
each participant commits to attend at least three of the sessions
each participant commits to filling out an on-line survey after the last workshop
The formal title of this series of workshops is:
"Understanding Initial Conversion to Improve Pastoral Planning for Evangelization in Canada."
It will not be as dry as it sounds
"The workshop sessions will combine prayer, personal reflection, presentations about conversion and evangelization, exercises for parish teams, etc. My hope is that participants will have a clearer understanding of the ministry of evangelization by coming to understand initial conversion better. The outcomes of the sessions include both evaluating current parish evangelization and planning for more intentional evangelization efforts in the future." (Fr. Sean)
If you are interested and available, I will send you the link for the initial on-line survey.
Thank you for considering this.
