Light snow will continue to fall Friday, adding another two to four centimetres to the pile the city received Thursday and making the morning commute slippery.
Environment Canada says Ottawa received 7.2 centimetres of snow on Thursday.
The temperature will be pleasant over the next few days, reaching a high of 1 C on Friday, with partly cloudy skies.
The normal high at this time of year is just below zero.

Those flurries will hang around Saturday with another dusting of snow and a high of 2 C. The winds will pick up in late morning, gusting to as high as 40 kilometres an hour, says Environment Canada.
By Sunday, it should be mainly sunny with the high reaching 4 C.
Expect a repeat into next week, with forecast highs on Monday and Tuesday of 3 C and 2 C, respectively, and flurries on Tuesday, says Environment Canada.
Have you noticed how gloomy #Ottawa has been this year? The last time Ottawa had such a cloudy start to the year was 21 years ago, all the way back in 1997. #OttNews pic.twitter.com/2rThYl9jKO
