Ottawa police are investigating a drive-by shooting after a driver fled from officers before the vehicle was stopped near Heron Road and Riverside Drive.
Police received a 911 call reporting shots fired from one vehicle into another in the west end just before 9 p.m. Patrol officers then followed what they believed to be the suspect vehicle through Centretown and the Glebe before stopping it past Carleton University.
Police took multiple people into custody but there was no immediate word on charges.
No one was injured in the shooting.
