Ontario Provincial Police have collared and charged two people and are looking for a third after an armed robbery at The Source electronics store in Rockland.

Around 9:20 p.m. on March 9, police said two armed, masked men reportedly entered the store at 3004 Richelieu St., while a third person waited outside in a dark-coloured Chevrolet pick-up truck without license plates.

The OPP said the masked men exited the building with an undisclosed amount of cash and electronics, then made a getaway in the truck.

No injuries were reported.

The following day, police arrested Adrian Lai of Ottawa, 27, and charged him with armed robbery, disguise with intent, forcible confinement and pointing a firearm. He was scheduled to appear in court on April 11.

Shortly after Lai’s arrest, Wajiha Hayee of Ottawa, 30, was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and robbery using a firearm. She was expected to appear in court Wednesday.

Police described the third suspect as an English-speaking tall man dressed in black clothes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Cory Tremblay at 613-446-5124, the OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-(TIPS) 8477. You can also submit your tip on-line at www.tipsubmit.com.
