A collision at the intersection of Greenbank Road and Iris Street is slowing down traffic this morning in the west end.
A red Hyundai Sante Fe ran a red light and collided with a small Toyota car, which had been making its way through the intersection.
The driver of the SUV fled from the scene, running east on Iris.
The driver was seen wearing a black winter coat with the fur-lined hood pulled up.
Firefighters were working to free the driver of the Toyota who was complaining of chest pain.
A third vehicle was involved in the incident but there were no other injuries.
Paramedics, firefighters and police are all on scene.
