If you are an international student, go to your university, there is an office while handles the invitation etc. Chance to get visa to Canada is pretty big as long as you are with good University, like OU or CU.
If you are a permanent resident, you will have to send all the document to China yourself, invitations (two, one for passport if needed, one for visa application), bank statement, Tax return of 2001, etc.
