Friday morning’s -10 windchill felt frosty and we’ll get a genuine low of -10 C overnight.

But don’t despair, Environment Canada is predicting the mercury will soar to 9 C by next week.

Friday’s complete forecast is for clouds, a 30 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and early afternoon, northwest winds at 20 km/h and a high of 2 C.

For Saturday, expect mainly cloudy skies, a 30 per cent chance of flurries, northerly winds at 20 km/h dropping off in late morning, a high of -4 C and a low of -9 C.

Sunday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 4 C and a low of -8 C.

Monday should be sunny and a high of 6 C with a low of -5 C.

For Tuesday, expect mixed skies and 6 C by day and clouds, a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries and 0 C by night.

The clouds hang around Wednesday with a 60 per cent chance of showers or flurries (40 per cent overnight), a high of 6 C and a low of 1 C.

Thursday looks even warmer with a forecast high of 9 C, clouds and a 30 per cent chance of rain.
