Police have charged a man with sexual assault after at least five incidents in the past year where women were allegedly inappropriately touched on OC Transpo buses.
Police allege a man has repeatedly taken a seat beside women on buses and brushed against their legs, touched their thighs with his hand, or touched their feet with his.
On Wednesday, police charged Mohamad El-Husseini of Ottawa, 37, with four counts of sexual assault.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Police said the investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information about the case, or who was a victim in such incidents, is asked to call police at (613) 236-1222 extension 5625, or to send an e-mail to mcm@ottawapolice.ca. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by downloading the Ottawa police app.
