One man was in critical condition and another was in serious, but stable condition after they were apparently shot hear the Kanata Centrum shopping mall on Friday evening.
Ottawa Paramedic Service reported the two men, both in their 20s, were found injured just past 9:30 p.m.
A media release from the paramedic service said the men were treated for “penetrating trauma, consistent with gun shot wounds,” and were transported to The Ottawa Hospital’s trauma centre.
Ottawa police and the Ontario Provincial Police were investigating, the media release added.
Police reported at about 10:40 p.m. that Eagleson Road had been closed in both directions at the Highway 417 overpass because of a criminal investigation.
