Ottawa police are investigating a targeted shooting after shots were fired into a home with a child inside on Carillon Street in Vanier early Tuesday morning.
Responding officers found a single round lodged inside a home just after midnight. No one was injured in the shooting but multiple people were home at the time, including a child.
Central criminal detectives are asking any witnesses to the shooting to come forward.
Police ask that anyone with information about the gunfire call the Ottawa police central criminal investigations unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5166. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by downloading the Ottawa police app.
It’s the 27th shooting in the city of 2018.
