Quebec provincial police are saluting their counterparts in Ontario for helping with an Amber Alert investigation last September.
On Sept. 14, 2017, a woman was found dead inside a home in Saint-Eustache, north of Montreal. Quebec police issued an Amber Alert for a man and his six-year-old son. OPP found them in Renfrew County and arrested the man, who was charged with murder in the death of the child’s mother. The father was also accused of murder in the death of a man and using the man’s vehicle to flee to Ontario.
The Sûreté du Québec lauded the co-operation between the two provincial police forces.
Insp. Daniel Nadeau of the OPP major crimes branch accepted a plaque on behalf of officers involved in the investigation during a ceremony on Wednesday at the Quebec police training academy.
