For days, weeks – maybe even months – we have whispered one word.
We predicted, we assumed, we hoped, we pleaded.
Cold gusts whisked away that word on endless winter winds.
But no more.
Today we don’t need to whisper anymore.
Today we can stand up and shout:
“Spring!”
The next four days will be absolute bliss.
Today’s high will finally break double digits, reaching an incomprehensible, yet very welcome, 11 C.
Best of all, we will be treated to a full day of bright, warm sunshine.
The low tonight will drop below freezing – maybe for the last time until we do this all again – moving the mercury levels to a manageable -1 C.
Tomorrow’s high will be around 12 C. And yes, you can expect another sunny day.
Sunday’s low will flirt with O C, reminding us all how much we appreciate this changing weather.
Monday and Tuesday are set to be spectacular with highs of 17 C ad 18 C, respectively.
Mid-week the temperature will dip a bit and we’ll have to deal with a streak of rain but it is, after all, still April.
Spring has arrived.
