A 23-year-old motorist faces charges after a single-vehicle crash left his female passenger with life-threatening injuries.
Police appealed for witnesses to the collision, which happened on Merivale Road at Queen Anne Crescent in the Rideau Glen area at about 2:38 a.m. Sunday morning.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
Colt Richards was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning on charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm, impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood causing bodily harm, police said.
