May showers are in the forecast but you might be enjoying flowers soon with dry, sunny days in the weekend forecast.

For Wednesday, Environment Canada is predicting increasing cloudiness, a 70 per cent chance of afternoon showers with the risk of a thunderstorm and southwest winds at 30 km/h gusting to 50.

The high is 22 C but will feel more like 25 with the humidity.

There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers Wednesday night with the risk of an early-evening thunderstorm and a low of 13 C.

Thursday is overcast with a 40 per cent chance of showers, a high of 22 C and low of 12 C.

Friday is cloudy with a 60 per cent of showers during the day and 40 per cent chance at night, a high of 19 C and low of 8 C.

The weekend forecast is for mixed skies and highs of 18 C Saturday and 17 C Sunday.

Then it’s pure sunshine to start the week with highs of 16 C Monday and 18 C Tuesday.
