Ottawa Library launches musical instrument donation drive

Do you have a djembe collecting dust or an acoustic guitar looking for a player.

The Ottawa Public Library is looking for new or gently used instruments to add to its musical instrument lending library.

The library has launched a drive from May 4-31 at the main branch, 120 Metcalfe St., or the Nepean Centrepointe branch, 101 Centrepointe Dr. and is looking for:

• Guitars: acoustic bass, acoustic guitars (nylon or steel strings), mandolins, ukuleles, banjos, electric guitars and amp;
• Strings: violins;
• Percussion: djembe, doumbek, bongo drums, bell set;
• Lightweight portable keyboards, and;
• Instrument cases made for any of the items on the list. on this list

The drive is only at the main branch and Centrepointe and only items on this list will be accepted.
