“A wave gets bigger and bigger. I want to make sure that… when I leave, the wave is big enough to keep going on its own.”
Jonathan Pitre, even though he suffered through the pain of epidermolysis bullosa, wanted nothing more than to make a difference.
To inspire others.
Even though he passed away nearly a month ago, Jonathan is not finished setting an example.
Tina Boileau, Jonathan’s strong, loving and devoted mother, tweeted earlier this week that the first trailer for the Butterfly Child – a documentary about Jonathan’s life – has been released.
Jonathan, even though he was dealing with constant pain, medical procedures and long stays in the hospital, allowed a team of filmmakers to shadow him for the past few years.
He wanted to ensure that he would still be able to help others.
The trailer is beautifully shot.
Watch it for yourself:
The documentary is directed by Ross Rheaume with cinematography by Devon Burns.
