A section of Highway 138 was expected to remain closed for an “extended time” Tuesday while police investigated two-vehicle collision.
Motorists travelling on the highway between Quail Road and McDonald Road in South Stormont were advised to follow detours.
Ontario Provincial Police said a passenger vehicle northbound vehicle crossed into the southbound lane just after 10 a.m. and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Both drivers were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police were are asking any witnesses to come forward by calling the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
