A 15-year-old Ottawa youth was charged Friday with two counts of possession of child pornography.
Ottawa police said they received a report last October from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre, that identified the IP address of an Ottawa suspect who allegedly uploaded videos of child porn.
A production order was then served to the suspect’s internet service provider, which allowed investigators to confirm the criminal activities.
Ottawa police said they executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Ottawa Thursday.
The youth was to appear in court today.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS), toll-free at 1-800-222-8477, or by using the Ottawa police mobile app.
