Police are searching for a missing teenage girl whose family says it is “greatly concerned” for her safety.
The Ottawa Police Service missing persons unit is appealing to the public for help in finding 16-year-old Makayla Wilk.
She is described as a white female, standing 5-5, with a slim build and long brown hair with red highlights. Police released photos of the missing girl Friday.
She was last seen in the Ottawa area on Wednesday, May 2. At the time, according to police, she was wearing a grey sweater with black drawstrings and ripped jeans.
Investigators said they believed she may be in the Toronto area.
Anyone with information was asked to call police at 613-236-1222.
