Position: Freelance Chinese to English Translator
Location: Work from Home
Job Description
· Translate academic manuscripts
· Accurately convey the meaning of the source text
· Research legal, technical, and scientific phraseology to find the appropriate terms
· Produce a grammatically correct final version
Qualification
· Proficiency in Chinese and English
· An understanding of technical terminology in Chinese and English (preferred)
· Degrees in translation or at least 3 years of translation experience (preferred)
· Degrees or knowledge in any of the following fields:
Ø Art - Art, Media, Communication
Ø Business - Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics
Ø Earth and Environmental Science - Earth, Atmospheric, Planetary, Energy, sustainability
Ø Engineering - Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum
Ø Humanities - Anthropology, History, Philosophy, Literature
Ø IT - Computer Science, IT
Ø Life Science - Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant and Animal Science
Ø Medicine - Medicine, Pharmacology, Nursing, Physiology, Health care
Ø Physical Science - Physics, Chemistry, Material sciences, Mathematics
Ø Social Science -Political Science, Sociology, Organizational Behavior, Education
